    Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the Space Systems Sector High School Intern Program. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA.

    The qualified candidate will become part of the Northrop Grumman’s Electronics & Payload organization. The selected candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

    In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:

    • Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

    • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

    • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    A CANDIDATE, REGARDLESS OF AGE AND HIRING SOURCE, MUST MEET ALL OF THE BELOW CRITERIA. THE CANDIDATE MUST:

    • Be enrolled full-time in a High School Program and have completed their Senior Year at the start of the internship.

    • Successful completion of 2 years of High School Involvement Partnership (HIP)

    • Have an un-weighted cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile).

    • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

    Salary Range: $17.25 - $20.75

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
