Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Aerospace Engineer/Aerospace Engineer .
This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Palmdale, CA . The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Vehicle Engineering group. The shifts available for this role are one of the following work schedules:
4/10A 1st or 2nd shift (10 hr/day Monday - Thursday)
4/10B 1st or 2nd shift (10 hr/day Tuesday - Friday)
3/10 1st or 2nd shift (10 hr/day Friday - Sunday)
9/80 1st or 2nd shift
Essential Functions:
The selected candidate will:
Design, develop, and test a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
Establish structural specifications, perform stress analysis, and conduct performance tests.
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Aerospace Engineer level (T01) or an Aerospace Engineer level (T02).
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Engineer Aerospace (T01):
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Basic Qualifications for an Engineer Aerospace (T02):
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of Electrical engineering experience.
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Preferred Qualifications for both an Associate Engineer Aerospace (T01) and Engineer Aerospace (T02):
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Pay Range:
Associate Engineer Aerospace: 70,200.00 - 105,400.00
Engineer Aerospace: 85,000.00 - 127,400.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay . Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
