    Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Systems Test or Engineer Systems Test. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector at one of the following locations: Palmdale, CA / Edwards AFB, CA / Mojave, CA / El Segundo, CA / Redondo Beach, CA / San Diego, CA / Grand Sky, ND / Oklahoma City, OK.

    The shifts available for this role are one of the following work schedules:

    • 3/10 1st shift (10hr/day first shifts)

    • 3/10 2nd shift (10hr/day night shifts)

    • 4/10 1st shift (10 hr/day first shifts)

    • 4/10 2nd shift (10 hr/day night shifts)

    • 9/80 (9 hr/day Monday – Thursday, 8hr/day on Friday with every other Friday off)

    Essential Functions:

    The selected candidate will perform the following, including, but not limited to:

    • Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.

    • Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

    • Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.

    • Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.

    • Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

    Basic Qualifications:

    This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Test (T01) or Engineer Test level (T02)

    Basic Qualifications for an Associate Engineer Systems Test (T01)

    A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

    • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

    • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Clearance and Program Access Required for Start as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

    Basic Qualifications for an Engineer System Test (T02)

    A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of experience

    • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

    • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Clearance and Program Access Required for Start as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher

    • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

    Pay Range:

    • Associate Engineer Test (T01): $52,200.00 to $95,800.00

    • Engineer Test (T02): $63,000.00 to $115,700.00

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
