Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Graphic Artist /Graphic Artist.
This position will be located in Palmdale CA, El Segundo CA, Redondo Beach CA, Oklahoma City, OK or San Diego CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems Sector Product Support organization.
Essential Functions:
The selected candidate will perform the following, including, but not limited to:
Conceives, designs, lays out, and coordinates Operation and Maintenance (O&M) technical illustrations and creative artwork for technical publications such as removal/installation, adjust, and inspections of unit level components to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and maintenance instructions to field maintenance personnel by translating engineering technical specifications, engineering blueprints and engineering drawings into graphic terms that best convey intended technical meaning.
Provides guidance on graphic technology.
Works closely with Technical Editor Leads, Technical Writers, and Engineers to understand requirements and create cost efficient vector graphic designs through available vector graphics software.
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Graphic Artist (A01) or Graphic Artist (A02).
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Graphic Artist (A01)
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Be majoring in or having majored in an Arts related, Business related or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Basic Qualifications for a Graphic Artist (A02)
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of engineering experience.
Be majoring in or having majored in an Arts, Business related or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Preferred Qualifications for both an Associate Graphic/Graphic Artist
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Pay Range
Associate Graphic Artist: $ 45,000.00 - $ 79,100.00
Graphic Artist: $ 52,200.00 - $ 95,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
