Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Systems Design Engineer - Multi-Disciplinary Analysis and Optimization (MDAO) to work in it's in its Advanced Weapons business unit.The position will be at the Northridge, CA, facility. You will be a member of a high performing, systems engineering team interacting with customers, program management, cross-functional teams of engineers and senior technologists.

• Guide design teams to execute program goals
• Support proposal and business development activities

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution by June 2024
• Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
• Coursework or experience in Git/Github
• Coursework or experience in Multi-Disciplined Optimization Methods
• Coursework or experience in setup and execution of Multi-Disciplined Design Analysis and Optimization (MDAO) models
• Coursework or experience in Python, C++, Linux, and/or FORTRAN

Salary:

Level 1: $65,600 - $98,400

Level 2: $79,300 - $118,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
