    Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer.

    This position will be located in Palmdale CA, El Segundo CA, Redondo Beach CA, Oklahoma City, OK or San Diego CA.

    The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Product Support organization.

    Essential Functions:

    The selected candidate will perform the following, including, but not limited to:

    • Reliability and Maintainability - Ensure the warfighter meets the objectives set forth in the weapons specification.

    • Supportability - Defines the requirements of the support infrastructure.

    • DMSMS - Mitigates the impacts to the warfighter due to obsolescence.

    • Modeling and Simulation - Develops and executes simulations to optimize performance.

    • Support Equipment - Design and development of equipment used to maintain warfighter.

    • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.

    • Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.

    • Operate related equipment, conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.

    • Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.

    • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.

    • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

    • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

    • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

    • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

    • Establishing, monitoring, and verifying subsystem Reliability & Maintainability performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts

    • Develop recommended solutions to technical problems assigned

    • Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis.

    This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Systems Engineer (T01) or Systems Engineer (T02).

    Basic Qualifications for an Associate Systems Engineer (T01)

    A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

    • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.

    • Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

    Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer (T02)

    A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of engineering experience.

    • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.

    • Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

    Preferred Qualifications for both an Associate Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.

    • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

    Pay Range

    • Associate Systems Engineer: $ 57,400.00 - $ 105,400.00

    • Systems Engineer: $69,500.00 - $ 127,400.00

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
