    Northrop Grumman is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Woodland Hills, CA. This position will be in the Pathways rotational program where there will be three rotation opportunities within EHS.

    The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Infrastructure - EH&S and Fire Protection.

    Key roles and responsibilities include:

    • Reviews and interprets existing and proposed EHS regulations to determine applicability and impact for sites. Assists with implementation of programs to comply.

    • Partners with business leaders to continuously improve the culture, awareness andaccountability in support of EHS programs.

    • Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation.

    • Completes audits, industrial hygiene sampling, ergonomic assessments, and assists in pollution prevention activities.

    • Implements EHS management systems sector-level programs and associated documentation.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications for an Associate EHS Engineer:

    • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

    • Be majoring in or having majored in industrial hygiene, occupational health, occupational safety, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.

    • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    • The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

    Basic Qualifications for an EHS Engineer:

    • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution

    • Be majoring in or having majored in industrial hygiene, occupational health, occupational safety, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.

    • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    • The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

    Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher

    • Computer based skills specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point programs.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of an organization are a must.

    • Ability to solve complex problems by: actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources; consistently looking for novel ways to solve problems; mastering unfamiliar information, tasks and situations quickly and effectively.

    Salary Pay Range:

    Bachelors - $69,400.00 to $104,000.00

    Masters - $ 83,400.00 to $125,200.00
