    Northrop Grumman is seeking Competitive Assessment and Price to Win (PTW) Intern for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Space sector in Redondo Beach, CA. May also consider candidates in Baltimore, MD.

    The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space System's Business Development team.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Enjoy a curious nature and be willing to learn new skills and capabilities.
    • Enjoy looking for indicators to help us win new programs, and keep others sold.
    • Employ strategic and critical thinking to the material you discover.
    • Craft and deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations and briefings for executive-level leadership providing actionable intelligence and recommendations.
    • Write briefings (small to large) on competitor news and insights
    • Assess market trends, competitors' approaches to pricing, key price components, notional solutions and derive competitor likely prices for key opportunities.
    • Work on analysis techniques including bottom-up price projections, top-down analysis, and parametric estimating.
    • Work well with a team to collaborate on projects and be able to work independently on your contributions.

    Basic Qualifications

    A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
    • Be majoring in Data Analytics, Business Management, Competitive Intelligence, or related degree.
    • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.
    • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite),as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
    • Ability to craft and deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations for executive-level leadership that provide actionable intelligence and recommendations.
    • Demonstrated ability to create trusted relationships with internal customers and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently with limited oversight.
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work them simultaneously.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
    • Must be able to travel up to 20%.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
    • Top Secret security clearance or higher.
    • Experience in Cost Proposal Management, Cost Modeling and /or Basis of Estimate Preparation
    • Experience conducting competitor assessments on product preferences, potential, sales coverage, market size, penetration, marketing practices, gaps, requirements, and trends.

    Intern Pay Range:

    Bachelor’s: $17.50 to $33.50 per hour

    Master’s: $25.50 to $42.25 per hour

    At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
