DESCRIPTION: This position is for a Stress Analyst with Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works® Advanced Development Programs. The candidate will be expected to use their technical expertise to perform structural analysis of advanced composite and metallic structures. The candidate will have knowledge in the field of aircraft structural analysis and will have broad knowledge of related disciplines. The candidate will be responsible for preliminary and detailed analysis of aircraft structures and structural assemblies, participation in trade studies, and coordination with Integrated Product Teams.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have an active secret clearance with an investigation in the last 5 years.*

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in an Engineering Technical Discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering.
• Airframe stress analysis
• Structural analysis hand calculation methods

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience using LM Aero Common Analysis Tools including SLIM/Vision/IDAT
• Secret clearance with active investigation within 5 years
• Experience working with cross functional teams.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Experience with MSC NASTRAN/PATRAN
• Fully versed in metallic and composite analysis
• Familiar with fatigue & fracture
• Familiarity with CATIA V5
• Understanding of drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Leadership skills
