DESCRIPTION: This intern will assist in the digital transformation of LM Aero by working on projects in areas like: manufacturing execution system (MES) implementation; product lifecycle management (PLM) system and process development; Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) deployment; model-based definition (MBD); IT/OT convergence for the automation of both manual labor and knowledge work; and more.

The Production Operations Intern Program is intended to develop individuals capable of becoming productive members of a technical/engineering team within the Operations disciplines. Disciplines such as Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Material Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities Operations/Engineering. Selected candidates will participate in training opportunities in communication skills and professional development. Candidates for this position are selected while actively pursuing an Engineering/Supply Chain/Operations Management related bachelor’s degree and assessed by management as possessing requisite skills and abilities for development.

DESIRED SKILLS: 

• Strong communication and problem solving skills. The ability to work autonomously when provided work instructions.
• Familiarity with computer programming and manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of formal problem solving methodologies, and ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Desire to actively participate and support in production floor operations
• Strong Communication skills
• Attitude to engage and perform

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college in Automation and Systems Integration Engineering Technology, Systems Analysis and Design, Virtual Product Integration, Industrial Engineering Technology or related technical field.
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
