This internship will research and analyze manufacturing issues, constraints, or cost drivers in current Lockheed Martin Aeronautics manufacturing processes.

• This assignment area includes engineering and technical support for projects ranging from manufacturing process development and improvements to manufacturing equipment and system specification, procurement, integration and support.
• Responsibilities include project management support (budget and schedule management), status reporting, and cost benefit analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Production Operations Intern Program is intended to develop individuals capable of becoming productive members of a technical/engineering team within the Operations disciplines. Disciplines such as Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Material Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities Operations/Engineering. Selected candidates will participate in training opportunities in communication skills and professional development. Candidates for this position are selected while actively pursuing an Engineering/Supply Chain/Operations Management related bachelor’s degree and assessed by management as possessing requisite skills and abilities for development.

This intern will support the Enterprise Engineering team in Fort Worth.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• In pursuit of a bachelor's degree in an Applications, Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, or related technical discipline.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in technology development and project management
• Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment
• Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite
