    Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, a leader in software defined, hardware enabled systems for national defense applications, is developing a next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for Engineering and Manufacturing product and process data. This system will be the foundation of our digital transformation and the future of advanced Engineering and Manufacturing capabilities and automation within the company, including Model-Based Engineering and Additive Manufacturing. As a member of the PLM Process and Architecture Team you will be participating in the development effort for the PLM system architecture in close collaboration with Enterprise Services/IT, Engineering, Manufacturing, and senior business leadership to deliver an integrated PLM system that meets cost, schedule, and quality requirements.

    The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Test Engineer will support the deployment of Teamcenter throughout Northrop Grumman Missions Systems as the PLM Solution. As a member of the Quality Assurance team, you'll be working collaboratively with software developers to test the quality of our software as it's being written. Responsibilities will include working with scrum teams daily to decompose user stories into test cases, manage test execution, and work with stakeholders to ensure test coverage.

    Work location is flexible but should be near one of our major office locations (Baltimore MD, Rolling Meadows IL, Woodland Hills CA, San Diego CA, Sacramento CA, Apopka FL).

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Performs analysis of documented user requirements and directs/assists in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for complex software applications.

    • Reviews user application system requirements documentation; designs, defines and documents unit and application test plans; transforms test plans into test scripts and executes those scripts.

    • Participate in all phases of risk management assessment and software development under the direction of a Senior Test Engineer.

    • Executes functional and integration test scripts throughout the software development lifecycle

    • Ensures proper execution of test scripts and documentation of test results in test logs and defect tracking systems.

    • Responsible for ensuring that the test designs and documentation support all applicable industry standards, timelines, and budgets.

    • Responsible for the development of test data to be used in performing the required tests.

    • Assists in the analysis of test results, documents conclusions and makes recommendations.

    • Provides daily defect and test execution status to test manager and project stakeholders

    • Works in an Agile environment to ensure team success

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Earned a degree (Bachelor's or Master's) from an accredited institution majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering; or earning by May 2022

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

    • Have U.S. citizenship

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills

    • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

    • ISTQB or similar certification

    • Experience defining and maintaining requirements for complex systems

    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

    • Experience with Agile and SAFe methodology

    • Expertise in one or more of the following primary focus areas: Teamcenter Deployment and Administration, Data Migration Techniques and Validation, Teamcenter Development, DevSecOps Pipeline, Test Automation, or Enterprise Application Integrations

    SALARY RANGE:

    • 59,100 - 88,700
