    The intern role in Business Pursuits is a challenging opportunity for a high-potential candidate. The rotation sharpens the creative and innovative skills.

    Key projects will provide deep insight and learning to how LM Aero secures new business pursuits and structure business initiatives, and business development activities. The selected candidate will work with team members and partner with organizations and functional groups to deliver solutions that create value for LM Aero and our Customers and differentiate Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in the marketplace.

    In helping formulate business recommendations and implementable solutions to complex issues and business arrangements, the successful candidate must be proficient in a variety of analysis.

    Key analyses include:

    • Financial analysis
    • Payback calculations
    • Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis
    • IRR/NPV calculations
    • Payment terms impact on cash flow, scenario analysis, what-ifs, and sensitivity analysis
    • The analysis will be the cornerstone to help drive management decisions which are fact-based and data driven.

    The selected candidate will work with the internal team members and develop new financial skills, approaches and examine opportunities across a strategic, operational and financial perspective as a financial analyst for M&A, joint ventures, partnerships and due-diligence assessments. This experience coupled with the ability to evaluate and analyze balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements will provide the strategic and analytical support for the formulation of business strategy for all new business pursuits.

    • Progress toward a Finance or business-related degree.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Minimum 1 year experience in performing at least three of the following tasks: financial analysis, valuation assessments, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, IRR/NPV calculations, payment terms impact on cash flow, scenario analysis, what-ifs, and sensitivity analysis
