JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Configuration Management department is part of the Whole Life Systems Engineering (WLSE) directorate which is responsible for ensuring our products are safe, reliable, maintainable, and under configuration control throughout the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. WLSE is comprised of multiple disciplines that support the program offices and customers including reliability, system safety, mission support, lifecycle engineering, configuration management, and data management. WLSE also provides program office and engineering support in the areas of earned value, integrated design check, product verification, and is engaged in operational aspects such as field and technical support, repairs and spares management, and program management support.
Configuration Management provides support to correctly process and release engineering changes in order to meet contractual requirements and is the foundation that is necessary to ensure that all RMS products are stable and reliable for the warfighter. A Configuration Analyst needs to be able to think critically in order to eliminate problems as well as communicate effectively across multiple program functions.
The WLSE Configuration Management department at Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona is seeking an individual to fill a Configuration Analyst II position in Tucson, Arizona. The Configuration Analyst will work with the program Integrated Product Teams, Office of the Chief Engineer, and other functional stakeholders in the processing, review, and approval of engineering technical documentation. As part of this activity, the Configuration Analyst will work closely with Configuration Management supervision to utilize a systems thinking approach to perform analysis on the documentation to provide consistency, traceability, and maintain an accurate account of the product during its lifecycle. The Configuration Analyst is responsible for managing the engineering change control process to ensure Raytheon and configuration management policies and standards are met.
