  • Responsibilities

    The Missile Systems Contracts Organization has an opportunity for Contracts professionals to handle U. S. Government, Foreign Military Sale (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) contracts for multiple programs.

    The purpose of this hiring action is to place early development talent into key positions within the organization to rapidly develop a Contracts talent pool to address the projected expansion of Raytheon’s Missile Business portfolio.

    Successful candidates will be exposed to a broad range of contractual situations, trained in U.S. Government contract management, and mentored to accelerate development, with the expectation the individual will be a fully functional Contracts professional within 12 – 18 months.

    The successful candidates will be hired as Contracts Administrators. Experience is not required for the Contracts Administrator position. Contracts Administrators will have some contractual responsibilities during their training period, and will progressively receive more challenging assignments.

    Activities will support a diverse portfolio of programs, and include contracts for production, engineering, development and sustainment. These positions require close interaction with program, business, and technical personnel for proposal preparation and negotiation of new and follow-on requirements.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Demonstrated ability to work in a structured environment to demonstrate the ability to work effectively within the regulatory and statutory framework of U.S. Government contracts
    • Ability to comprehend complex regulatory guidance, and apply knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition processes and related regulations, e.g. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
    • Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements; possess a strong foundational basis to support development of negotiation skills and an ability to develop a sound negotiation strategy
    • Effective communicator, both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to understand trade-offs, compromise alternatives, and mutually beneficial settlements
    • Demonstrated persuasiveness
    • Proven ability to work in and support teams in a fast-paced environment of collaboration, creativity and trust
    • Computer proficiency, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and some knowledge of shared data bases
    • Ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Some prior experience customer engagements

    REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR):

    • BA/BS in Business, Management, Mathematics, Finance, Contracts, Legal Studies, or related discipline

    This position requires the eligibility to obtain security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
