    The Contracts Summer Intern will support the Contracts function at Raytheon Company, Intelligence, Information and Services in Marlborough, MA. Contracts operates in a fast paced, dynamic environment in which new, innovative and leading edge approaches to solving problems are highly encouraged. An internship with Contracts will allow for broad exposure to both senior leadership and Enterprise wide initiatives as well as learning and using Raytheon’s Tools and resources. This position requires an understanding and application of principles, concepts, and practices pertaining to the field of business and will be working on critical business enablers such as sourcing, negotiations, global business, technology, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience in working in a teamwork environment, having not only academic, but also interpersonal skills to help optimize our teams. Additionally, the candidate should possess an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to complement their academic experience.

    As a Contracts Intern will provide assistance and support to Contract Administrators and Contract Managers with proposal preparation, contract review, and acknowledgments, change management, export compliance, and special assignments.

    The Intern shall be responsible for:

    • Review of customer solicitations, request for Proposals, contracts, modifications (follow-on and new business), kick-off proposal preparation activities & support proposal deliverables
    • Familiarize/analyze unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms & conditions
    • Provide guidance to the program team on the requirements of the contract (SOW, Data Deliverables, IP rights, reporting requirements, schedule, etc.) flow down
    • Draft customer correspondence and program letters
    • Prepare Export classification
    • Review Purchase Orders (PO), contracts, and modifications for compliance to contract requirements and negotiated pricing, delivery, and terms & identify differences
    • Prepare acknowledgment and rejection of Purchase Orders/Contracts
    • Draft and support the execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements
    • Support the closure of Contracts Standard Work
    • Support Contract/PO Closeouts
    • Propose a continuous improvement idea during the internship
    • Perform other special assignments
