  • Responsibilities

    The Raytheon Corporate Affairs and Communications team is seeking a 2018 Communications summer intern. The intern will partner closely with the various Corporate Communications functions as well as across the Enterprise. This position will be based in Waltham, MA. Job responsibilities may include but not limited to assisting with production of materials, non-specialized PowerPoint graphics support and event support.

    Additionally, the Communications Intern will spend time conducting and supporting research projects, organizing content assets as well as database management. The Intern will also have the opportunity to interact with members of the organizational communications and business communications teams in order to gain exposure to the full breadth of the communications functions.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent communication skills and strong editing skills
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
    • Excellent computer skills with experience in social media & Microsoft Office
    • The ability to work independently and with others
    • Dependability, flexibility and ability to maintain confidentiality
    • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Demonstrated initiative and leadership ability
    • Relevant class projects, internships, and co-op experience
    • Experience with digital social media channels
    • Ability to quickly learn new software and skills
    • GPA of 3.0 and above
    • A commitment to the mission of Raytheon Company
    • Creative and enthusiastic to gain new knowledge
    • Openness to learning and growing within the internship experience

    REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING DEGREE):

    • Candidate must actively be pursuing a Bachelor’s (30+ credit hours) or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Communications or a related field.
