    Bring your talent and skills to RAYTHEON INTELLIGENCE, INFORMATION AND SERVICES (IIS) Cyber Engineering Team!

    Raytheon IIS is seeking internship candidates for Cyber Security positions in Information Assurance (IA) and Information Operations (IO).

    Tasking could include secure code development, system hardening and integration of security products, testing against security requirements and producing the documentation required for security certification and accreditation.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Understanding of IA/IO concepts such as:
    • Access Control
    • User Authentication & Identity Management
    • Vulnerability and Malware Analysis
    • Defense in Depth
    • Secure code development and Reverse Engineering
    • Computer and Network Forensics

    Some administrative experience with the following:

    • Networking, including Controlled Interfaces (firewalls, trusted guards)
    • Unix/Linux and Windows Operating Systems
    • Virtualization
    • Principles of Certification and Accreditation (C&A)
    • Demonstrated ability to produce quality code
    • Strong problem-solving ability and self-motivation
    • Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
    • This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • C, C++, Java
    • Python, shell scripting, RPM packaging, system integration
    • XML, Web Services
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of information system security technologies, risks and mitigations, i.e. system hardening, network firewalls, data flow control, risks analysis
    • Vulnerability Analysis (threat and attack analysis)
    • Experience with virtualization software (e.g. VMWare, Zen)
    • Application security, reverse engineering, malware analysis, kernel development
    • Low-level programming and operating systems internals
    • Experience administering Unix/Linux operating systems or Microsoft Windows
    • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, network protocols, and common services such as DNS, FTP, email, SSH

    REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR):

    • Working toward Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, computer science, information security or related discipline.
    • A Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is desired. (Please include GPA on your resume)

    This position can be Salary Grade ST02, Salary Grade ST03, or Salary Grade ST04 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

    • ST02 (TechStudent-Sophomore) – must have completed 60 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Sophomore status as of Fall 2018
    • ST03 (TechStudent–Junior) – must have completed 90 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Junior status as of Fall 2018
    • ST04 (TechStudent-Senior) – must have completed 120 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Senior status as of Fall 2018
