  • Responsibilities

    Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical products and systems for IFG Electrical Systems & Specialty including subsystem controllers and electrical power systems design and qualification of the aircraft controllers and both ac/dc power equipment, which control, generate, convert, and distribute electrical power to the aircraft.

    • Assists Electrical System design changes, product testing, and field troubleshooting.
    • Design change tasks consist of class I & II changes to subsystem components, engineering source data requirements for electrical power changes, and performing electrical power load analysis in order to integrate changes related to aircraft and subsystem upgrades.
    • Product testing involves system and component analysis, often in conjunction with product vendors, in order to uncover design flaws and resolve field issues.
    • Product Installation entails supporting the production line technicians, answering questions and aiding in troubleshooting problematic installations.
    • Field troubleshooting responsibilities include working with clients over the phone, or on site to resolve problems that would prevent or hamper flight.
    • Other duties include formulating technical reports, and updating technical manuals and various other documents pertaining to the electrical systems.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
    • Must be a US Citizen, this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

    Desired skills

    • Desire to work in the aircraft Electrical Power & Controls area.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Solid math and science background.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and analytical skills.
    • Needs to have the ability to convey technical data and concepts in concise messages and presentations.
    • Candidate should have an understanding and ability to apply basic Electrical Engineering principles, theories and concepts.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform independently.
    • Experience with using test and measurement equipment as well as trouble shooting experience.
