    Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has an ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP available with our Hardware and Infrastructure (HWI) team located in INDIANAPOLIS, IN. This position involves assisting with the design and test of electronic circuit card assemblies and /or FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) that support a variety of military airborne equipment. The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience in working in a team environment, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Key attributes are an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications that compliment your academic experience. Familiarity with hardware or software tools as appropriate for your academic level is also beneficial. The candidate should be interested in working in a highly motivated team environment, collaborating with a small team of engineers through the development of advanced prime mission equipment.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Fundamental engineering skills
    • Course work and/or experience related to digital circuits and FPGAs, embedded software, RF/microwave circuits, signal processing, and machine learning
    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written as well as thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
    • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and apply decision making skills with minimal supervision
    • Basic MS office skills
    • Ability to work in a process oriented organization
    • Detail oriented, organized, self-starter, multi-tasker and team player are all required skills for this role
    • THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO ACCESS SYSTEMS THAT CONTAIN INFORMATION RESTRICTED TO US CITIZENS BASED ON CERTAIN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENTS

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Prior work or intern experience is highly desirable
    • Ability to read schematics and basic knowledge of reading mechanical drawings
    • Background in RF and power supply theory is a plus
    • Strong problem solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges
    • Programming experience with C++, VHDL, Verilog and/or LabVIEW
    • Experience with academic projects and examples of innovation of new and emerging technologies
    • Relevant course work and examples of Technical Writing skills

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    • Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a closely related field STEM field.
    • A GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired. Please include your GPA and transcript with your resume.
