    The Mission of the Product Technology Center is to develop best in industry technologies that align product capabilities to the needs of our customer. We will empower our people to leverage design commonality and innovation, balancing risk and rigor, to achieve predictable and affordable solutions.

    We are seeking current college students willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today’s cutting-edge technology to design digital electronics circuits that implement missile guidance, video and digital signal processing. Our technology base includes high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and homogeneous / heterogeneous multiprocessor designs.

    The Mission Computers and Processors Department provides digital electronic circuit cards and electronic units which are supported from proposal through transition to production. Our systems are subject to environments ranging from the frigid, sub-zero vacuum of space, to the blistering heat of the desert floor, to the high pressures of the ocean depths.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    A candidate with interests, studies, research or experience with technical theories and concepts in digital design, with general knowledge of other related disciplines.

    All Candidates will work within a larger team at Raytheon. Interns perform meaningful engineering tasks for their assigned projects, but will also have access to a variety of career development opportunities. These include access to technical mentors and the ability to “shadow” experienced Raytheon professionals in order to better learn about real industry positions.

    U.S. CITIZENSHIP STATUS IS REQUIRED AS THIS POSITION NEEDS AN ACTIVE U.S. SECURITY CLEARANCE AS OF DAY ONE OF EMPLOYMENT

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Course work in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, digital logic and electronics, microprocessor applications, computer architecture and systems engineering.
    • Enthusiastic to learn and assist in a variety of tasks.
    • Ability to proactively communicate across disciplines.
    • U.S. Citizenship is required.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR):

    • Junior or Senior standing while pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Cumulative GPA of 3.00 is desired

    This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
