DESCRIPTION:
The Monitoring Systems group within Health Management Systems is seeking an engineering intern who can support multiple programs. The candidate will assist in the development, test, and integration of advanced sensing technologies within the domain of Health and Usage Monitoring Systems, including collection and interpretation of data from sensing hardware and systems which are evaluated for use in health management applications. Additional tasks may include test design and execution, data acquisition and post processing, and technology integration support. The position provides opportunities to work with large structured and unstructured data sets utilizing “big data” techniques. Assignments will be in a cross-functional team environment encompassing a full range of engineering activities.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated knowledge of general mechanical systems with interest in programming and data analysis, works well with engineer leads, is self-motivated, and experience driving an investigation/analysis to closure. LabVIEW, MATLAB/Python skills are a plus. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively, work independently to meet customer objectives, and quickly refocus priorities. Effective communication and data presentation skills are a must.
