  • Responsibilities

    This individual will perform as an integral technical team member of the F-35 Performance & Data Analytics (P&DA) Operations Team for F-35 Performance Metric Analysis and Reporting. The position will interface directly with both internal and external F-35 Customers at all levels. Applicant will be required to interpret F-35 field data with regards to Performance Based Logistics (PBL) metrics and determine specific degraders negatively impacting the overall performance of the F-35 Fleet. F-35 Sustainment System Performance Degraders include knowledge base in following areas: in depth knowledge of aircraft systems, Sustainment Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, maintenance procedures and common engineering practices.

    Primary responsibilities will consist of data capture and analysis for PBL metric reporting, analyzing performance data to identify critical items degrading fleet performance, and converting the information into presentable format to required stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include: analyzing field performance data to drive decisions for solution alternatives; developing solutions to complex problems consistent with F-35 Sustainment performance metrics and reporting; analysis of F-35 sustainment system performance degraders and trends experienced in the field; attend meetings/debriefings, as required, to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues that would require company intervention to avoid aircraft downtime; analyze Action Request (AR) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) Mission Impaired Capability Awaiting Parts (MICAP) trends to identify unique operational problems that require technical, procedural, or quality assurance actions to improve system performance.

    Candidate will address sustainment improvement initiatives identified by JSFPO, Services and Lockheed Martin F-35 Stakeholders at a systems level, analyzing impacts to air system performance conducting lower level root cause analysis where appropriate to determine actionable solution sets. This position will execute system change implementation through monitoring and analysis of system changes and modification planning impacts to performance outcomes.

    Candidate will maintain open lines of communication to provide proactive interface with stakeholders on performance metric reporting. Candidate will be a self-starter, manage time appropriately and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical performance reporting.

    DESIRED SKILLS: 

    • Experience with aircraft (pilot, aircraft maintainer, etc.)
    • Coursework or experience with PowerPoint, MS Excel, and/or Access
    • Coursework or experience in formal presentation development, PowerPoint construct and delivery, and working in a team environment
    • Coursework or experience with major air vehicle and/or support systems, and knowledge of aircraft readiness degraders.
    • Experience in presentation, data processing, spreadsheet, and database development
    • Coursework or experience with systems engineering approaches and configuration management
    • Knowledge/experience with F-35 Sustainment Performance Based Logistics (PBL)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to address diverse audiences.
    • Advanced skills with MS Office products (Access, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) a plus.
    • SharePoint experience.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering (including Aeronautical or Astronautical) or Mechanical Engineering or technical related discipline
    • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
