DESCRIPTION:

This is a summer internship position that will be supporting the ADP Manufacturing Engineering team in Production Operations in Palmdale. Responsibilities include: Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

The Production Operations Intern Program is intended to develop individuals capable of becoming productive members of a technical/engineering team within the Operations disciplines. Disciplines such as Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Material Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities Operations/Engineering. Selected candidates will participate in training opportunities in communication skills and professional development. Candidates for this position are selected while actively pursuing an Engineering/Supply Chain/Operations Management related bachelor’s degree and assessed by management as possessing requisite skills and abilities for development. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical degree in an accredited program
