  • Responsibilities

    DESCRIPTION: 

    • Manages Mechanical infrastructure projects for advanced aeronautical manufacturing plant under supervision of the Team Lead;
    • Takes part in monitoring all phases of construction including design, compliance, construction, occupancy and quality control;
    • Get familiar with design codes and standards, such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI and UFC’s; Ability to develop a list of codes criteria’s to be reflected in the projects;
    • Manage and administrate Corporate capital, Overhead and Government funded infrastructure projects budgets under Team lead supervision;
    • Develop of Statements of Work (SOWs), cost estimates and budgets, timelines and schedules, follows-up on pre-installation activities;
    • Participate in communications with other engineering disciplines, internal customers and A&E's to ensure projects and systems are cost effective, within budget, meet the desired design criteria and schedule guidelines;
    • Prepare reports, drawings and specifications for relatively simple projects making appropriate recommendations and design development decisions on small projects;
    • Provide technical review of documents;
    • Learn capacity/demand analysis of utility systems and planning to support growth when required;
    • Learn how to analyze critical utility systems to understand risks and develop solutions based on assessment;
    • Provide technical support to the Facilities and Maintenance organization as a system expert over time.

    DESIRED SKILLS: 

    • Experiencing working with CAD drafting EIT with expecting PE licensing within 5 years
    • Ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to complete assignments under supervision of the Team Lead;
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions;
    • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery;
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment;
    • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results;

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
    • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
