The Analytics & Machine Intelligence unit has been a leader in the research, development, and application of natural language processing, speech processing and machine learning technologies for over 30 years. We perform cutting edge research and transition our technology into solutions for our customers.

BBN currently has exciting opportunities available for interns to develop state-of-the-art applications and solutions in speech processing, machine learning, and event forecasting. As a research intern, your responsibilities will include one or more of the following: algorithm development, software development, scripting for data pre-processing, analysis of results, and transitioning research systems into a production environment.

Sample project work: Work in a team to build a system that ingests unstructured text and extracts features suitable for forecasting cyber attacks.

• Current senior or grad student aspiring towards a MS/PhD degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or relevant field
• Sound knowledge of linguistics, mathematics, and statistics
• Experience programming in some combination of Java, Python, and C++
• An exceptional individual interested in working collaboratively on challenging problems
