Human Resources Intern

Raytheon BBN Technologies is a leading provider of advanced technology and research and development. For over 65 years, we have helped our customers solve complex technology problems. Our Human Resources department is seeking an intern candidate to perform project-based work and provide general support to the HR team. The individual in this role will be exposed to all levels of HR disciplines including training and development, recruiting, compensation, and benefits. This individual will be responsible for maintaining personnel files, copying, auditing paperwork, processing expenses, and other duties as assigned.

Job Accountabilities

• Provide support for college intern program
• Provide support for tuition assistance program
• Assist in maintaining internal HR electronic database
• Handle requests for information and data (background checks)
• Coordinate and maintain logistics to support internal training and development courses
• Assist in the preparation data collection and reporting
• Maintain personnel files & the HR file room
• Providing technical support for ad-hoc projects
• Answer telephones
• Sort and distribute mail
• Perform other routine administrative and clerical duties as assigned
• Effective communicator (both written and oral)
• Willingness to take initiative, and able to define and work to deadlines
• Strong interest in social media is a plus

Required Education/Experience:

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in in Microsoft Office namely MS Excel

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.
