• Provide IT High Performance Computing Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Basic understanding of Windows Server internals as well as Linux operating system fundamentals.
• Responsible for system patching and Antivirus definition updates, in addition to resolving support issues for the engineering community using helpdesk and task assignment methods.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
• Document and follow basic IT high performance computing processes and procedures.
• Work as a team member in a diversified technological environment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a mild to moderate scope and complexity.

REQUIRED DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SECURITY CLEARANCE(S):

• Eligibility to obtain a final Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:

• Desire and ability to work as a contributing team member
• Knowledgeable in Windows 7 and Windows 10 Operating Systems (OS)
• Understanding of Antivirus and basic security hardening
• Effective customer and communication skills
• Experience supporting recent versions of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under time constraints
• Ability to work with general supervision and follow established procedures
• Able to lift 15 pounds
• U.S. Citizenship is required

DESIRED DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SECURITY CLEARANCE(S):

• An active DoD Secret Clearance
• An active DoD Top Secret, TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance or prior SCI/program eligibility

DESIRED SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:

• An active DoD Secret clearance
• Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification)
• Basic DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory experience
• Direct working experience with NISPOM, JSIG, and/or DoD/RMF
• Troubleshooting basic workstation and server issues
• High Performance Computing (HPC) management experience
• Ability to train others in standard IT processes and procedures
• Basic Windows scripting
• Effective customer and communication skills
• Self-Starter, customer focused, adaptable, attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask
• Ability to work with general supervision and follow established procedures
• 3.0 GPA preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

SPECIAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to lift 15 pounds
• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours
• Position may require some travel
