  • Responsibilities

    The INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYSIS INTERN will provide IT Infrastructure support to the current IIS Virginia sites. This support includes project management, vendor management, technical oversight and documentation of new and existing IT Infrastructure build-outs.

    Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:

    • Work with vendors to complete Infrastructure installations (AV, Network cabling, etc)
    • Documentation of network installations; AV installations, and instructions
    • Collaborate with facilities partners for schedule integration and coordination of work

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Basic knowledge of computer networking including remote communications, local area, and wireless
    • Strong communication skills to interface with people at all levels of the company
    • Strong technology troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues
    • Demonstrate strong desire for learning and a self-starter
    • Has the ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment

    DESIRED SKILLS

    • Audio Visual systems experience or basic knowledge including operating and support of video conference capabilities
    • Strong writing skills in support of documentation
    • MS Office Suite to include Visio and Excel

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    • Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a technical degree in the area of IT, Information Systems and Operation Management (ISOM) or Computer Science. A GPA of 3.0+ in highly desired. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR TRANSCRIPT WITH YOUR RESUME. You must have obtained sophomore or junior status as of Spring 2019.
    • ST02 (TechStudent-Sophomore) - must have completed 30 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Sophomore status as of Spring 2019.
    • ST03 (TechStudent-Junior) - must have completed 60 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Junior status as of Spring 2019.
