JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Raytheon IIS Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has entry level opportunities available in Aurora, Colorado for recent college graduates. The candidate will support datacenter and cloud infrastructure service design, development, build, integration, test and delivery activities for mission unique computing systems. The candidate should also have an interest in scripting/programming, computing system infrastructure build automation, virtualization and cloud technologies, and infrastructure service components such as compute, transport and storage. Candidates must be professional self starters with a positive attitude and eagerness/aptitude to learn new technologies.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Basic understanding of infrastructure services
• Ability to work well on teams
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Some exposure to COTS hardware products and interfaces, and widely used COTS/FOSS software

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Scripting and/or programming experience
• Experience with public and private clouds (VMware, AWS)
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and the Chef Automate suite of tools
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting COTS software products
• Summer intern work experience participating in infrastructure, systems or software engineering activities
• An existing TS/SCI security clearance

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), obtained within the past 18 months or by Summer

2018. An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher is desired.
