Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our distinguished team to support development, implementation, deployment and maintenance of state-of-the-art systems for unique customer missions. These systems will collect, process and disseminate intelligence and other data about specific areas/targets of interest in support of our national defense. Candidates will be supporting build and integration activities to provide compute, network, and storage infrastructure services for complex, high-performance computing environments with both cloud and traditional data center technology foundations.

Responsibilities include:

• Support infrastructure build and integration activities utilizing programming/scripting skills (Ruby, Python, PowerShell)
• Integrate multiple software and hardware subsystems
• Apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to solve problems

Required Skills:

• Ability to apply basic engineering principles, theories and concepts
• Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems
• Ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment
• Ability to articulate status and results
• Possess good written and oral communication skills
• Experience using MS Office Suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Security clearance - U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:

• Experience and understanding of programming concepts and development/scripting skills using Ruby, Python, and/or PowerShell with the ability to pick up any programming language quickly
• Experience with public and private cloud environments and tools – VMware, OpenStack, AWS
• Experience with Chef Automate or similar DevOps build automation tools (Puppet, Ansible)
• Exposure to integration of COTS software
• Familiarity with security engineering concepts and practices
• Exposure to the software development life cycle (agile and waterfall methods)
• Ability to research and compile large datasets into concise reports
• Existing US Government Secret clearance

Required Education:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). obtained with in the past 18 months or by Spring of 2018.
• An overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 grade scale is desired.
