    Position Description

    You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST (ELECTRONICS ENGINEER/ PHYSICIST) in the Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test (IBST) Department Integrated Combat Environments (ICE) Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

    Position Duties/Responsibilities

    • You will serve as the Chief Engineer or Architect for the Integrated Combat Environments Division.
    • You will brief high ranking officials, Program Offices, test teams and senior executives on the entire test program assessing safety, security, test capabilities and identifying/mitigating potential risks.
    • You will establish design requirements, test requirements, and performance criteria as well as participate in engineering investigations and provide recommended solutions to test programs.
    • You will lead or participate in programs that include a large contingent of contract support services, government representations, and well-organized test teams to ensure all test objectives get accomplished.
    • You will be involved in program development and/or oversight of major NAVAIR level or Component/Command level programs relating to research, development, testing, evaluation, innovation, and reengineering.
    • You will advise on, administer, or perform professional, scientific, or technical work concerned with engineering or architectural projects, facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, material or methods.
    • You will be responsible for investment programs to address major system development and stay abreast of or the direction of technology-based research which has the highest significance to the agency's needs.
    • You will develop proposal concepts to address obsolescence and future capability needs.
    • You will work with peers across the IBST Department to ensure Air Combat Environment Test and Evaluation Facility (ACETEF) and E3 are in alignment with agency goals and remain capable of meeting customer requirements.
