    Job Description:

    The Industrial Security Internship is geared towards gaining knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) through supporting a variety of disciplines within a large industrial security organization. Assignment may include such disciplines as personnel clearances, classified information management, security auditing and inquiries, classified information systems control, physical security, etc. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: shadowing security employees to learn their duties and responsibilities by working with security officers, industrial security specialists, information assurance officers, and employees throughout the organization. The position will involve working on projects to improve overall security processes, some of which will cross the organizations core capabilities, as well as involve other functions or sites within Raytheon BBN Technologies.

    Required Skills:

    • Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
    • U.S. Citizenship is required
    • Willingness and ability to apply for a US Government security clearance upon acceptance of offer of internship.

    Desired Skills:

    • Working understanding of the requirements of the NISPOM and ICDs
    • Process improvement (6 Sigma) knowledge
    • Willingness to ask questions and the ability to quickly learn necessary skills
    • Ability to work extended hours, when required
    • Ability to adapt to and excel in a fast paced work environment
    • Excellent organizational, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • A current or recent US Government security clearance is desired.

    Required Education:

    • Currently pursuing a BS / BA degree from an accredited four-year university and entering as a college Senior by Fall 2018.
    • Must be working towards a degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Computer Information Systems Major, or equivalent technical discipline.
