User Interface Developer

We are looking for a creative, talented software developer interested in user interface development to join our Distributed Systems group.

Work in our group focuses on designing, developing, and deploying new advances in cyber security, artificial intelligence, and distributed computing to solve challenges problems across a variety of application domains. Job Description:

• Help design, develop, and implement the front-end user experience for various applications in areas like artificial intelligence and mobile apps.
• Your first project will be designing and developing a user interface for a cyber security machine learning system.
• You will contribute to research activities by designing and coding working prototypes for evaluation in an agile development cycle.

Required Skills & Education:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field
• Well versed in user interface web technologies, languages, and tools, e.g., JavaScript, D3, HTML5, AngularJS, and Node.js
• Knowledge of design patterns for both front- and back-end development
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, independent, inquisitive, and committed to quality
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desirable Skills:

• Back-end development skills using Java, Spring, MongoDB, etc.
• UX experience, including rapid prototyping
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and analytic tools (e.g., Tensorflow, Caffe, R)
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and Amazon Mechanical Turk
• Language experience with Java or Python
• This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons
