Raytheon Professional Services (RPS) is looking for a JUNIOR COLLEGE STUDENT – WEB DEVELOPER in their TROY, MICHIGAN office. This position supports the development and design of web applications, games and simulations related to training for various industries. Ideal candidates are skilled in a web application/software development with strong abilities in user interface design, graphics and modern coding.

Responsibilities include:

• Working in a team environment to develop training materials that enhance and convey learning objectives for various clients in multiple media platforms
• Designing, creating and modifying application source code and user interfaces following specified process and standards

This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming skills as applied to web and mobile applications
• Ability to create and manipulate code with strong abilities utilizing HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript, ReactJS, and Typescript
• Must be detail oriented
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Flash/Animate, Illustrator
• Experience with Mobile Application design and development

Required Education:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in software/web development and design or other related field. Must have a minimum of junior status (completed 60 units) by end of spring 2018.

THIS POSITION WILL START AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND CONTINUE FULL-TIME THROUGH AUGUST. IT IS LOCATED IN TROY, MI. THE COLLEGE STUDENT MUST REPORT TO THE RAYTHEON OFFICE IN TROY, MI ON A DAILY BASIS. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION.
