Description

The Intern will work with other logistic support personnel, technical writers, and system engineering organizations collecting and documenting system architecture in support of:

• Developing fault isolation and troubleshooting procedures for electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Writing operation instructions
• Writing repair procedures
• Writing theory of operation
• Developing repair parts catalogs

The individual must be well-organized self-starter, able to work in a team environment, have good communication and technical skills, and professionally interact with other organizations.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Proficient with Windows-based operating systems and Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer of 2018
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work well both as part of a team or as an individual
• Ability to manage multiple short-term projects simultaneously
• This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program in one of the following engineering curricula: Industrial, Manufacturing, Systems, Mechanical, or other similar engineering or scientific major above a GPA of 3.0 is desired.
• Must have completed at least sophomore year of college
