This is a summer internship position that will be supporting the Manufacturing Engineering team on the F-35 and U2 Program in Palmdale.

The Production Operations Intern Program is intended to develop individuals capable of becoming productive members of a technical/engineering team within the Operations disciplines. Disciplines such as Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Material Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities Operations/Engineering. Selected candidates will participate in training opportunities in communication skills and professional development. Candidates for this position are selected while actively pursuing an Engineering/Supply Chain/Operations Management related bachelor’s degree and assessed by management as possessing requisite skills and abilities for development.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical degree in an accredited program

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Strong communication and problem solving skills. The ability to work autonomously when provided work instructions.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Previous Internship Experience
