    Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) Hardware & Infrastructure Engineering's Electrical & Mechanical Design Department leads the mechanical and electrical hardware design, development and production of DoD, international military and COTS Air Traffic Control Systems. The Air Traffic Management Mechanical Design Section, located in Marlborough, MA is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to support the design and development of various design tasks for established programs, as well as support to production in the factory and field support on an as needed basis.

    Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Support tasks related to Mechanical design and documentation of hardware such as electronic equipment racks, air traffic management consoles, Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs).
    • Support senior engineers and peers prepare/hold design reviews and resolve action items.
    • Support documentation release and change incorporation activities.

    Required skills:

    • Ability to apply basic engineering principles, theories and concepts
    • Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to articulate status and results
    • Possess good written and oral communication skills
    • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
    • Experience in modeling parts and assemblies using Creo or similar CAD system

    Security Clearance

    • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Knowledge/basic understanding of thermal and structural analysis
    • Experience/Knowledge in 3D printing

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor's of Science Degree obtained within the last 18 months or by Summer 2018 in Mechanical Engineering.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is desired.
