    Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) Hardware & Infrastructure Engineering's ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL DESIGN DEPARTMENT leads the mechanical and electrical hardware design, development and production of DoD, international military and COTS Air Traffic Control Systems.

    The AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MECHANICAL DESIGN SECTION, located in MARLBOROUGH, MA is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to support the design and development of various design tasks for established programs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Support Mechanical design and documentation of hardware such as electronic equipment racks and components, air traffic management consoles, etc.
    • Support senior engineers prepare design reviews and resolve action items, support generation of design artifacts such as technical drawings.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Ability to apply basic engineering principles, theories and concepts
    • Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to articulate status and results
    • Possess good written and oral communication skills
    • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
    • Experience in modeling parts and assemblies using Creo or similar CAD system

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Knowledge/basic understanding of thermal and structural analysis

    EDUCATION:

    • Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is desired
