  • Responsibilities

    Position is located in the Technical Displays Models Lab. This Lab’s function is the design and build of three dimensional proof of concept engineering study models, as well as scale model representations of our company products.

    The primary job requirement for this position is to provide “F-35 Full Scale Model” support. This entails long term, extensive international travel to physically install and dismantle the F-35 aircraft full scale model at air shows and events around the world. Mechanical aptitude / hands on skills are necessary, as is the ability to work outdoors in the elements. When not supporting the full scale model, will be required to perform entry level design work and build proof of concept and marketing models. A variety of model fabrication methods will be utilized and bench work will be required as needed. Entry level CAD experience required and entry level Illustrator experience desired. Will provide support of project coordination efforts to meet schedule and budget needs in a timely and cost effective manner. May be interfacing with Aeronautics and other LM business areas’ internal customers. Security clearance may be required.

    Must be a US citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Experience with Product design, testing, product development, systems development, field engineering, technical operations, and quality control
    • Model production experience
    • Project management experience
    • Microsoft Office programs experience
    • Experience analyzing and solving problems-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work on a team
    • Ability to coordinate with vendors
    • Hands on experience in shop environment
