    Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has an entry level Multi-Disciplined Engineer position for a recent college graduate to join our Infrastructure Configuration Management (CM) team located in AURORA, CO.

    The CM team directorate provides integrated Configuration Management solutions to ensure product integrity. We ensure the current design and build state of the system is known, trusted, and fully repeatable so that it doesn’t rely on the tacit knowledge of any member of the product development team. The position responsibilities include performing Infrastructure Configuration Management tasking to include Build, Release, and Deployment; facilitation of change control boards, the use of tools for configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting; configuration verification and baseline audits; and providing solutions to a variety of CM technical problems.

    Everyday responsibilities range from establishing and maintaining the program's CM system, developing scripts to supporting system build cycles, providing CM support to development team and Programs Management, implementing, reporting on and confirming baseline contents and stability, improving and training the program CM processes and interfacing with other engineering disciplines to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems. The position works with the program team to ensure that configured system baselines are properly controlled. It requires attention to detail with respect to managing system environments and program libraries, understanding of engineering processes and strong presentation skills. The position requires the ability to work independently while supporting team goals and communicate program activities. During peak periods, the candidate may be required to work after hours to support the development team.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Implementation of a classroom or professional project using C/C++ and/or Java/J2EE on a Linux/Unix operating system
    • Experience with scripting languages (Perl, ANT, Python, or Ruby)
    • Understanding of development and test methodologies
    • Proven success in working on teams
    • Experience with standard Microsoft Office tools for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations
    • Strong communication skills
    • Understanding of basic configuration management concepts

    SECURITY CLEARANCE

    • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Linux System configuration and administration experience
    • Experience controlling source code in a configuration management tool (examples include GIT, Subversion, ClearCase, TFS)
    • Experience with Agile Development
    • Relevant internship or co-op experience
    • Experience working in a Software or Hardware development team environment, interfacing with Software, Hardware, Systems and/or Test Engineers.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related STEM field awarded within the past 18 months or by Spring 2019. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is desired.
