    As a member of the Operations Analysis organization, the candidate will be performing modeling and analysis of military systems to quantify the impact of operational concepts (CONOPS), system design, payloads, weapons and tactics, and force size/mix on survivability and mission effectiveness, as well as perform analysis to support requirements definition, concept of operations evaluation, operational and cost effectiveness studies, and military utility assessment.

    Responsibilities will include researching military systems performance and operations, modeling military systems and scenarios in digital simulations, executing trade studies utilizing constructive engagement and/or mission simulations, quantifying Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs), analyzing simulation results to draw meaningful conclusions, preparing reports/briefings and presenting analysis results.

    The selected candidate will be supporting the ADP OA organization across the directorate with analysis; including, Legacy and Future Fighter Programs, Air Mobility and Maritime Missions, ADP Programs & Technology Roadmaps, and Aeronautics Strategy & Business Development. This work may include constructive digital simulations or Human-In-the-Loop Virtual experimentations.

    • Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
    • Selected Applicant must have an interim Secret clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret and SAR program clearances

  • Qualifications

    DESIRED SKILLS: 

    • Aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering degree preferred
    • Demonstrated engineering/mathematical/analytical skills to solve complex technical problems
    • Experience modeling and analyzing air vehicle, sensor, or weapon performance
    • Knowledge of surface and airborne military systems, operations, and Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS)
    • Experience performing air combat or air-to-air effectiveness analysis
    • Experience applying discrete or Monte Carlo simulations (Brawler, Suppressor, AFSIM, EADSIM, ESAMS)
    • Familiarity with design process, design of experiments, trade studies, data mining, and data analytics
    • Proficiency with C++/JAVA /XML; with experience in software development or integration a plus
    • Good written and verbal communication skills

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Candidate must have a Bachelor or Above technical degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, operations research, or other technical field.
    • Strong computer skills are required with experience with scripting/programming (MATLAB, Perl, or Python)
    • An Interim Secret government security clearance. Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and access to Special Access Programs.
    • Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access. Active Top Secret Clearance preferred
