  • Responsibilities

    Performs activities involving the producibility and quality of the product, and the processes that directly pertain, encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: failure analysis, industrial, manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, process, product, quality assurance, reliability, supplier quality, Lean Six Sigma, test, and tool.

    • Support the business in achieving and sustaining performance excellence through the use of Lean techniques
    • Serve as a facilitator of continuous improvement implementation and colleague involvement to create and sustain culture change to achieve long-term business strategies
    • Capable of analyzing sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant production facilities, administrative processes, facility and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
    • Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, engineering time studies, and process cycle times. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for process and facility modifications and revisions to operating procedures
    • May assist facilities engineers in the planning, design, modification and layout of facilities and equipment
    • May establish or assist in establishing mistake proofing techniques

    Must be a US citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor of science degree in Technical Engineering disciple, Business, Operations or other related field

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
    • Lean Practitioner experience
    • Production operations (Shop Floor) experience
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Access and Excel
    • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization including non-technical personnel.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    • Ability to work in a representative environment
    • Experience developing and coaching employees through problem solving
    • Ability to work up and down the management chain from shop floor to the senior manager level and conduct Gemba Walks
