    Planning & Production Control Specialist

    This position in Supplier Quality - Material Verification and Test Operations team and is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials purchased for our customers. This individual plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules / changes; Evaluates and coordinates program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements. Statuses work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, programs, logistics, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

    This position also supports the deployment of inspection operations strategy, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress. In this role the individual will drive continuous improvement opportunities to reduce the cost/cycle time in the inspection process and to reduce escapes to the floor.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Candidates must have obtained an undergraduate or graduate degree by Summer of 2018 or completed a degree no more than 18 months prior to start date, with an emphasis in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field.
    • U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Ability to build relationships with other Raytheon Cross Business Teams
    • Good problem solving skills
    • Understanding of 6 sigma tools
    • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and influencing skills
    • Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred
    • MS Office Skills
    • SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning software experience
