    Job Description

    Summary

    AV is seeking a motivated Program Management Intern to support cross-functional initiatives and help drive execution across multiple projects in our Directed Energy (DE) Business Unit. This internship provides hands-on experience working with product, engineering, operations, and business teams to coordinate programs, track milestones, and improve processes.

    Position Responsibilities
    • Assist in planning, tracking, and coordinating program activities across multiple teams
    • Support Program Managers in developing project timelines, roadmaps, and status reports
    • Track project milestones, deliverables, and risks to ensure programs stay on schedule
    • Prepare program dashboards, reports, and presentations for leadership updates
    • Facilitate meetings, capture notes, and follow up on action items
    • Analyze program data and recommend process improvements
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, contracts, program control, facilities, and operations
    • Help maintain documentation for program plans, workflows, and best practices

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe PDF

    Other Qualifications & Desired Competences

    • Interested in Directed Energy

    • 0-1 year of working experience preferred
    • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Has effective problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
    • PMP certification completed or working towards completion

    • Strong interest in program management, process improvement, and operations.

    • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, reach, lift (up to 10 lbs.), bend, etc. Hand and wrist dexterity to utilize the computer.
    • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
    • May require travel between facilities within Albuquerque.
