Position Description

You will serve as a Program Manager in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Program Management Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will analyze needs and synthesize requirements information to develop requirements for program initiatives and plans.
• You will serve as a key participant in the development of an acquisition strategy that serves as the framework for integrating functional activities essential to the acquisition effort.
• You will direct the preparation of documents, specifications, requirements, criteria, and standards, which define needs, and parameters of the program.
• You will contributes to the determination of resource needs and allocation of resources (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.) for life-cycle management of the assigned program.
• You will evaluate the impact of new resource levels such as budget cuts or increases, and updated estimates of resource requirements to take into account new or revised objectives, technical capabilities, new acquisition strategies, etc.
• You will coordinate program efforts with other activities and personnel directly assigned or detailed to support the program.
• You will be responsible for team building and for coordinating logistics, engineering, and other support and at field activities, laboratories and contractors facilities.
• You will assure that schedules are maintained, that risks are identified early, and that steps are taken to investigate and resolve issues swiftly.
• You will serves as the central contact point within the program office for all matters concerning the assigned program.
