DESCRIPTION: In this position, your responsibilities and tasks will include serving as the C-130J Quality Engineer. Tasks include oversight of production process performance. This includes the monitoring and measurement of process behavior and compliance through Product Build Surveillance (PBS) and Internal Process Surveillance. In addition, the role will include Quality Engineering diagnostics using the QE Workbench platform to identify the top nonconformance drivers and coordinate with Corrective Action to reduce production defects and associated Scrap, Rework, and Repair (SRR) Hours. Other tasks will include establishing product controls and conformance through the utilization of Production Process Verification (PPV). This position will require periodic interface with the Marietta site leadership team, customers, Production and Engineering site leadership.
Will engage in preventive / predictive actions that provide right the first time and all the time quality of supplied parts. Will investigate, coordinate, monitor and follow-up on supplier-related engineering, manufacturing, and quality issues.
