  • Responsibilities

    This position reports directly to the F-35 Customer and Process Integration manager as a Quality Engineer Intern for the F-35 Quality organization. The individual in this role will represent the F-35 Quality Organization and act as an integrator between Quality, other departments within Lockheed, and the customer. A successful candidate will have the desire to continuously learn, seek information from subject matter experts, be comfortable working on a large and diverse team, and have a self-starting motivation to identify and complete projects with little discrete direction.

    The roles and responsibilities of the selected QE Intern include:

    • Creating persuasive briefings that drive confidence in the Quality Management System.
    • Ensuring the F-35 Quality Organization is engaged through developing and executing an internal communications strategy and through practicing and demonstrating the Culture of Accountability tools.
    • Supporting internal and customer special requests for data and information while ensuring all F-35 marking and export requirements are met.
    • Seeking and acting on feedback from stakeholders to improve the Quality Organization’s business practices.
    • Soliciting and resolving special project requests that could range from supply chain, engineering, production, or sustainment.
    • Maintaining, and communicating the F-35 Q&MS strategy.
    • Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in
    • US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain management or related technical discipline from an accredited university.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft tools, especially with Outlook, Power Point, and Excel
    • Team Player who achieves goals, recognized as a developing leader and team builder, demonstrates high energy, self-starter, strong attention to detail attributes.
    • Experienced communicator with the ability to influence others in a concise data driven manner.
