  • Responsibilities

    DESCRIPTION: The F-35 Risk and Opportunity Management team works across the F-35 program to apply a systematic approach to identify, assess, handle, and monitor risk and opportunities to closure throughout the program lifecycle, from the proposal phase to program shutdown. We work with the Development, Production and Sustainment Program Offices as well as the Functional organizations like Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations. This is an opportunity to get exposure across the entire F-35 Program and to help Program Managers proactively manage risks and opportunities for the execution of contracts and achievement of customer milestones. This role will have the opportunity to build relationships across organizations and gain experience working with different business disciplines.

    This includes but is not limited to:

    • Working with a Risk and Opportunity Manager to aid in managing the monthly Program Manager, Earned Value Management, Strategic, and Customer review tempo
    • Supporting one or more Risk and Opportunity Manager in facilitating identification and assessment workshops
    • Managing a process improvement project or a portion of a project that enhances the effectiveness of the Risk and Opportunity Management process
    • Gathering data, consolidating and summarizing into program based metrics
    • Assisting in the execution of Risk and Opportunity Management Board meetings and Program Management reviews
    • Coordinating the closure of action items

    DESIRED SKILLS: 

    • Project Management experience
    • Problem solving and developing solutions to problems
    • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Office

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a business, system engineering, management or related discipline.
    • Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
