This position supports the national security of the United States. Lockheed Martin’s Aeronautics business, home of the F-35 Lightning II fighter, is looking for a candidate to serve on an internship within the Security & Emergency Services (SES) organization in Fort Worth, TX. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Government Security Operations (GSO) and is intended for candidates working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree. The primary mission of the SES organization is to mitigate risk and promote the safety and security of company personnel and assets, and to ensure compliance with U.S. government and other customer security requirements in support of U.S. national security interests. The candidate will perform tasks and assignments within the Security disciplines such as: government compliance, physical security, international security, investigations, and counterintelligence. This will include opportunities to develop skills to:

• Develop and execute security programs associated with the protection of proprietary information in compliance with corporate policies.
• Serve as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) or a Security Representative.
• Develop and conduct security education training.
• Process clearances and customer visits and provide support for classified meetings.
• Must be a US citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• The right candidate will:
• Be creative, a team player, and work well with white-space.
• Be highly organized and have advanced oral and written communication skills, as well an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Be able obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
• 0-3 years of security-related experience.
